Ano nga ba ang tawag sa mga taong wala sa realidad? Wala sa pag-iisip at kinakausap ang sarili. Yung tipong akala nyo eh sinapian ng demonyo, ngunit hndi naman pala. Ano nga ba ang sakit sa mga taong kaniwang tinatawag natin na "Baliw"?

Ang “schizophrenia” (skisoprenya) ay isang malubhang karamdaman sa utak kung saan ang tao ay hindi wasto ang nakikita o nararamdaman sa realidad. Ito ay maaaring magdulot ng kombinasyon ng halusinasyon, delusyon, at ibang estado ng pag-iisip at pag-uugali.

Bukod sa gamot, may mga alternatibong magagawa para maibsan ang epekto ng schizophrenia tulad ng “therapy”, pagsali sa mga “group sessions”, edukasyon para sa mga kapamilya ng may sakit at rehabilitasyon. Ang pagsali sa mga therapy at grupo ay tumutulong sa pagsuporta at pagbibigay impormasyon sa may schizophrenia ng mga pananaw mula sa mga nakaranas ng sakit mismo.
